Gloria Zapiain has served in parish and diocesan ministry for more than 25 years in (arch)dioceses both east and west of the Mississippi. She holds an MA in Catechetics from the Notre Dame Institute and STL studies from the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC.
She has served as an adjunct professor for catechetics at the University of Dallas School of Ministry and the Franciscan University of Steubenville, and is the founder and present director of the DRE Certification track for the annual Don Bosco Catechetical Conference at FUS. She has also been a contributing author to The Sower, an international journal for religious education and the catechumenate.
Currently, Gloria is the Director of the Catechetical Center for the Archdiocese of San Antonio, TX. She is a board member of the Association for Catechumenal Ministry and is a Consultor to the USCCB Committee for Evangelization and Catechesis.
