Online Catholic Catechist Formation

Courses on Teaching the Catechism

This series provides a solid foundation for catechists over a series of eight lessons. The course provides the six tasks of catechesis, the 4-part structure of the Catechism and three major learning styles.

The second part of the course develops a methodology for teaching, which works off of the five steps of preparation, proclamation, explanation, application and celebration. Finally, the last lesson covers the spirituality of the catechist, which encourages the formation of a prayer life, attending mass and doing spiritual reading.
